These little indians are my little indians. Christopher 8 years old and Christian mia 3 years old. They had so much fun playing out free in the open. Mia loved her tee pee, they made me want to jump in and play but my brother & i sat back and watch'd them run free. I admit when I have my heart set one something a vision I will not let up until i get it ... I dragged my brother along to help me build our tee pee set up which was fairly easy it consisted of 5 poles bought from home depot at $2.00 a piece, twine $3.00 and curtains which i had purchased that morning on my mission to the thrift store for props for $3.95. Mia's outift was a lil tough i knew i wanted something old i had envisioned an old white dingy dress of some sort but could not find it instead i came home and rummage'd through my lil 16 year old sisters clothes and mine & found the blouse she is wearing (wink wink) I tied it at the top with some yarn and made a trip to my costume bin in the garage and found her accessories a belt and bracelet. Christopher's headdress was from years ago from a trip we'd made to new mexico when he was 3 years old. The bow & arrow you see in the first image below is made from a tree twig my savvy brother put together for me with twine.
skipping the blah blah blah forwarding onto the bad news
so as I was preparing to shoot this lovely set up we put together I remember'd no memory card (cue the sad upset face) I thought no way am I going to let this go my trusty handy dandy phone was in my back pocket and I began to shoot my kids as always ... below are images shot with a Razr Maxx 8mp. Yup I was pretty surprised myself, I almost felt like why shoot with an SLR I've got my phone with me at all times :)
